I started Entyvio 12 weeks ago for my Crohns. About a week after my first infusion, I began experiencing dizziness and extreme weakness. At first, I thought it was just my body adjusting, but instead of improving, it has only gotten worse. Over the past 12 weeks, i’ve become so weak that i’m now completely bedridden. A few days ago, I ended up in the ER after collapsing, but all my tests came back normal.
What’s strange is that my symptoms aren’t just temporary or right after an infusion they are constant, every single day, in between infusions as well. Despite how severe my symptoms are, my doctor doesnt believe Entyvio is the cause. However, given that I can barely function, I will likely have to switch to another biologic. I’m really worried that I’ll have the same reaction to other treatments.
Has anyone else experienced something like this? Did things improve after stopping Entyvio? And how did you tolerate other biologics after a bad reaction to one?
