I was wondering if anyone else has bad teeth that break easily and are thining.
Ever since I have been on either humira or infliximab(remicade) I have noticed my teeth are getting thinner and thinner and lately I have broken a few teeth and on some it's like the enemal has fallen off.
Has anyone else experienced this.

I noticed thinning in my 2 front teeth before I started humira. I've never been much of a milk drinker so my doctor recommended calcium supplements years ago. Can you take a good multivitamin and maybe a calcium supplement?

the weird thing is I was on humira last year and stopped cause I started feeling better and I noticed it was like my teeth got better thicker and stronger if that makes any sense

I don't know about biologics but I'm on pred and inhaled corticosteroids for asthma and my teeth are in a bad condition even though I have good mouth hygiene.

17 year old son on remicade, tons of cavities since starting, has had to wear trays on his teeth with extra flouride toothpaste every night for the last year.
Things are pretty good when he is good about wearing them at night 6 months no cavities, doesn't wear them for 6 months and has 4 cavities.
They have put sealants on most of his teeth and he goes in for cleaning every 3 months. He is really good about brushing his teeth every morning and evening.
Hates wearing the trays so I've made a deal every other night and hoping that is enough, we'll see when he goes back next month for cleaning if it is.

I don't notice physical thinning, but I do notice some teeth are a little more sensitive since I started Humira then switched to Remicade. My last dental cleaning was very uncomfortable which is unusual for me - I usual tolerate them fine.

I'd be wary about the fluoride. Regardless of where you stand on the issue, excess fluoride is known to rot the teeth, a condition known as Dental fluorosis. Based on what I read, fluoride's benefits are dubious.

Ds has been on both remicade and humira since age 8
He is now 13
No issues with cavities or thinning at all
He does drink elemental formula (at least 30-50%of his calories ) and take vitamin d
But no issues at all
