Just curious if anyone else has horrible teeth related to their IBD? I'm currently undiagnosed, but having severe dental problems probably related to absorption issues. I don't have cavities, but my teeth just break off in huge pieces!! I'm only 27 and about to need a full set of dentures probably thanks to Crohn's -.- Anyone else or am I just extra lucky? Lol!

Yep. Not quite ready for dentures but I've had a mouth full of work done in my lifetime. It's not just you!

That's awesome to know I'm not the only one lol I'm waiting for my official diagnosis so I can go slap the dentist that used to make me cry telling me it was all my fault lmao

Not yet wildbill. I'm waiting for scopes so no meds at all yet. Probably need to go ahead and get some vitamins going though. I'm not absorbing my Prilosec at the moment so I'm debating on liquid vitamins maybe?

I have tons of cavities, even though I've always been a bit of a freak when it comes to my teeth--lots of brushing, flossing, etc. I read something that said cavities were hereditary, but my parents didn't have this problem (Well, my dad does, but that has more to do with his general mistreatment of his mouth than anything else. He didn't have them as a child/teen as I did.) Ever since being diagnosed with Crohn's, I've assumed my poor oral health was related to malnutrition. So, no, you're not the only one. I'm sorry to hear about how extreme it is in your case.
