Hi there. Sorry to hear about this. Were you in Crosshouse? I googled because I haven't heard of that med for Crohns before and was curious. Are you on any others and did they say why they were prescribing this one?

I had this one as Pred does not suit me. Had a chat with doc & pharmacist & this one came up, start off with 12 tabs for 6 days, then taper down over 4 weeks.
I am on 6-MP, Pentasa, predfoam & Asacol enemas, pain killers & 100's more besides.
Still feel yuk, but the haemmorage has slowed right down now

Poor you, I hope it does the trick. Hopefully it doesn't have the Pred side effects?
me too. I get too many of them with pred. Mood swings or what??
A bit of a Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde character.
I must say, so far, all seems good, I would say that my experience with the Betamethesone is better than the pred. The pharmacist in the hospital did seem to think that this drug was less harsh than pred, but had the same control properties and may be better tolerated.
