Hi jmrogers4,

He is on 5mg folic acid takes it day after injection. Thanks for deleting duplicate thread didnt know how to do it.

When DS had to take Mtx , he was placed on folic acid everyday but shot day so six days a week .
Not sure if that helps .

Thanks article was interesting wondering if he should be taking folic acid everyday but injection day maybe thats whats wrong not getting enough foliate?

My daughter also used to take folic acid (1mg) every day but injection day. Not sure if that would make a difference though?

Why not take folic acid on injection day? We were never told to skip that day. Hoping I haven't been screwing things up!!

It has to do with the mechanism of mtx. We've been told it doesn't really matter whether you take it on injection day or not, it seems like every rheumatologist/GI has their own way of doing it.
