I'm looking to make smoothies more often. Any suggestions on which machine will best accomplish this?

I know a couple people who have the Vitamix and LOVE it. Apparently it blends in greens very well so they are undetectable. I have just a good ol' Black and Decker blender, which makes perfectly good smoothies... But I prefer my greens on a plate!

I JUST bought the Ninja Ultima for my daughter who is just about to transition to solids from NG-tube feeds. I'm going to try it out tomorrow. (I need to make some ice tonight)! I spent about 2hrs researching all the brands. I couldn't find one bad review for the Ninja Ultima. One guy said that he and his neighbor who had a new Vitamix, spent an afternoon making stuff and comparing the final product. He said that they couldn't see any difference and his neighbour was upset that he spent so much more money. You should be able to purchase a Ninja Ultima through amazon for less than $200. compared to the Vitamix or Blendtec which would run you between $500 - $700. Happy shopping! I'll let you know how my 1st smoothie turns out tomorrow!

Haha..I have both the Nutribullet and the Vitamix...ummm and a juicer!

The Nutribullet is great for entering the world of smoothies as is the Ninja. Now while I loved my bullet, I did step up and get the Vitamix and I have to say now I know what all the fuss is about. The thing is a workhorse! It is larger and more versatile and more powerful BUT it is significantly more money and probably not necessary until you know you are going to make a smoothie, soup, dessert a day. . If you buy one get a reconditioned model. They run around $350 and you get the upper line model that retails for $700.

And why do I juice also? Because it removes all the filling fiber and you can get a lot more nutrients in without filling up. There are days where the girls and I literally drink 12 servings of fruits and vegetables through juicing just two juices! So it is a nice complement to the smoothies contraptions but also a couple hundred dollars for a good machine.

Normal blender for smoothies - no issues
Fancy juicer for fruit/veggie juice or lemonade ;)
LP has fiber issues so that helps

We have a BlendTech and love it! It is a bit cheaper than the vitamix and we found the best deal was at Costco (on line, as they don't carry them in our local store).

I have a Nutribullet which is great. However if you want to make enough for more than one person I use a normal blender.

I got a Nutri Ninja and my son and I shared our first peanut butter and banana smoothie today. I must say I'm pretty impressed!

I still use my trusty old regular blender, wouldn't mind getting my hand on a ninja eventually though. Perhaps when my blender dies out.

I love my Ninja Ultima Blender! I've made amazing homemade mango ice cream - roughly 500g of frozen chopped mango + 500g of probiotic yogurt (any flavour) and a splash of soy or almond milk, that's it!! It's outrageously delish!! Also making nutritious and easy to digest smoothies. We're on our way to healthy living and it tastes good!

I have a Ninja Blender and the NutriBullet Pro. I love them both, but I use my NutriBullet a lot more because it has more of a "make-and-go" capability. I drink on the way to work, then clean it out once I'm there, vs. having to clean out my Ninja before I leave and then clean another cup. I also prep my smoothies the night before in the cup and stick it in the fridge with the lid, then spin the blade on in the morning. (I sound like their infomercial!)

I think it all depends on what you want to use it for/how many people.

Didn't see you had already responded! I think you'll be happy with the Ninja. They are powerful and reliable!

They're both pretty good options. I'd probably go with the Vitamix before the Nutribullet because of all their marketing tactics that try to hype it up more than it really is. A vitamix would be one you'd rely on everyday in the kitchen, while a Nutribullet would be good for portability. But then again a Nutribullet is a lot cheaper.

I have a comparison between the two machines (the new nutribullet RX and Vitamix S30) at my blog- outdoorgardenliving.net/nutribullet-rx-review-better-than-a-vitamix/
