Blood in stool

Son told me there was blood in his poop today I called his GI left a message. He does have hemorrhoids but I'm not sure if that what caused it. Also he has been going to the bathroom a lot this morning. I'm so worried about this infact I'm more worried them him. I'm not sure what I can do this has never happened to him but my older son had this happen and he ended up having ulcers

Hi. Sorry to hear this. I've had it and it really freaked me out. Has the GI called back? If it's still going on I'd consider going to the ER. I always play it safe with stuff like this. Hope you get some answers soon.

Do you know what the blood looks Kaitlyn?

Is is fresh/bright blood?
Is it on the outside of the poo?

It does sound like it may be from the haemorrhoids, particularly since he has been going quite a bit. Hopefully the GI gets back to you with answers, and soon! :ghug:
