blood tests taking forever?

how long does it normally take to get blood tests back? i have been calling my doctor and they keep telling me that they are waiting on a test called the promethus test to come back? it has almost been 2 weeks. thanks

I'm not sure about the Promethus, did they have to send it away for testing? My son had a TPMT test, different to yours I know, but it took about 3 weeks to get the results.

Aside from that, any run of the mill blood results should be received by the next day at the latest.

HI Jenny, it will take probably another week or so for the promtheus test to come back because it's a delicate procedure. They have to check for markers so the can test for celiac, colitis and crohn's disease. Just give it a little more time. I Know your frustrated but, the results will be worth it. best wishes.
