Hi !
I've been diagnosed with CD c.a. 3 years ago. As I was in reemission, I started training 2.5 months ago with a classic carbohydrates/protein/fat diet. I am currently around 75kg and 187cm height. Since I am from Poland, there arent a lot of ppl trying to build their body with my disease, so hopefully I will get some answers here. Right now I have a little flare-up, my CRP is at 11(<5 is normal) and OB at 19 (<15), both are sindicators of a flare up. I have a solid, one per day, max 2 per day bowel movement, only occasional stomach aches for last few days and am a little exhausted overall.,
I was presribed 6mg of entocort for 2 months to ease the flare up and was changed from asamax to Pentasa.
How will it affect my bodybuilding? Should I worry about losing some muscle mass (got some nice progress in last 2-3 months and dont want to lose it)? Should I supplement anything and change my working schedule (3 times a week atm) for those 2 months? And how does exactly the effect of muscle loss from entocort work? Does it mean even though Im training, I will be losing it, or just getting it in a slower pace?
And one additional thing: On monday I have eaten a little bit too much, meaning I ate 5 big carbohydrates/protein/vegetables meals + 2 protein powder shakes and some scrambled eggs at night, which resulted in a little blood on a toilet paper in the night. My blood tests were made 3 days later. Blood never appeared again and stomach aches were much milder every day and today they are practically not occuring. My question is: shouldn't I just wait a week or two and just switch from asamax to Pentasa? Steroids aren't really that safe and I was wondering if the inflamation indicators werent so high just because of this one time crisis? I have stopped using protein powder atm, no eggs, currently my diet is
1.Rice waffles with some meat
2. Rice with a chicken or turkey + few tomatoes and some olive oil
3. Millet with sole or some other light fish + + few tomatoes and some olive oil
4. Same as no. 2
5. Rice waffles with some vegetables and smoked salmon
