Both kids starting to flare ( just need to vent)

So Saturday( I think Saturday the whole no school or work yesterday messed me up) we went to see my son Matt who is at school found out he is flareing he missed his classes today and wants to come home so college lasted all of a week. Then my younger son Ryan got hurt at practice today actually we just got home from the ER and on top of that I think he may be starting a flare. It's like my kids flares are like synchronized.

I'm so sorry that Matt has not improved. Hopefully, a few days at home will allow him to rest and recover?? :ghug: It should be a fun time of year, I feel so badly for him that he's not able to enjoy this.

And also so sorry about Ryan! I hope he's okay from his injury! Please note that nsaids (ibuprofens, advils, etc.) are not recommended for those with crohns. I hope he's not also flaring. :ghug:

Aww, that's rotten....My heart goes out to you and your kids.

I also have two kids with Crohn's and both are having issues now. What you said about your kids being in synch really made me stop and think. Sibs probably are! I never thought about it before, but if women who live together menstruate together, maybe there is also some sort of similar thing going on with IBD flares?!

Hang in there. I hope Matt has just a temporary time off from college and Ryan feels better soon (and doesn't go into a flare!)
