Bowel Resting With Surgery

My consultant has said he is going to try me on Humira for a second time. If this does not work the next step is to rest my bowel for a year with a colostomy.
I have had CD for 20 years, UC for 5 years; 4 years ago I had the terminal ileum removed. OH I had a blood clot on my lung 6 years ago.

I would like to know if someone can give me advice on the pros and cons.

Good luck with the Humira, but if it doesn't work maybe surgery is for the best and will give you your life back!
