I hope things are still improving at school. What a wonderful, caring daughter you have to share with those that have acted ugly towards her.

I hope the project goes well and she overcomes their meaness with her kindness!!
 
Thank you Clash, the project went well. Then she went out to play with her partner and fell down and hurt her elbow! She's in a cast from fingers almost to the top of her arm. They think she may have a hairline fracture in the growth plate in her elbow.
The bullying has settled down :) She's much happier.
 
So glad things are looking better for your lovely girl (apart from the broken arm!) poor thing, I hope that heals really soon.

Time to take out the markers!! (OR if you have an air brush artist near by - they'll often do a cool design fairly cheap for a cast!!) Hmm... flowers? peace sign? Justin Bieber? laughs... Disclaimer - with 3 sons I would end up with hockey pucks, soccer balls and john deere tractors (snort, snort!)
 
lol!! She got some sharpies out tonight. Her siblings and I signed, now she will go to school and have all the kids sign lol

(No idea what as sharpy is but it sounds like it should be some sort of weapon.)
 
I'm glad the bullying has settled down and the project was enjoyable. So sorry about the arm but I'm sure she'll have em lined up to sign her cast though!

:lol: Sharpies! It wouldn't surprise me! In our hyper vigilant pc world!! There was some kid got sent home recently for chewing a piece of bread into the shape of a pistol!!

Broken arm aside, glad things are going better for Devyn!
 
So glad things are better for Devynn. The kid with the cast is ALWAYS the coolest kid anyway :) :) :). I bet her getting hurt scared you to death though!

Thank you mlp, she slept last night! First time since Sat night!

Dexky, are you serious?? I work in a school and we are supposed to send kids into the office if they even make finger guns. I usually just tell them, "I hope you are not pretending you have a gun" that always works.

Julie, thats what the cast guy told her last night. He said when he was a kid he broke so many bones. He said he always felt like he was so cool because all the girls liked guys with casts! She laughed. Yeah, it scared me! Esp when her friend came running in the house. They both had cel phones. They were just in the playground beside my house.
 
It sounds like everything is going well, so glad. As a mom, I feel bad she broke her arm...but I do remember seeing all the kids with casts and crutches getting so much attention when I was a kid. I even wanted to be the assigned kid to escort the kid with crutches to each class!!! How funny to think about that now!
How long does she have to wear the cast? I'm sure living with it will get old. Casts don't seem to stay on that long now a days.
 
Kathy, she thinks she's so cool! lol It was pretty cool out last night and she wanted to go in the store with me (hates shopping) without her coat lol

I'm so happy that the bullying has reduced and your gorge gal is doing much better apart from her arm. As everyone has said above she can get some great designs and tags on her cast.

Seriously?! I'm out of the loop a couple of days and she breaks her arm. Hope it heals quickly for her and she gets lots of cool designs and signatures on her cast.

I love it!!! She is such a trooper.

I will never look at a Sharpie the same now. :)

We are having so much sunshine right now, I hope everyone is getting a good taste of Spring.

what part of the city are YOU in?!?!?! :ywow: I'm moving near you! It's been cold and rainy, the few sunny days came with frost!! ...I guess I'm just a scrooge-type person! :ymad:
 
Thank you Tess. :) I'm in the upper beaches area. Today was Gorgeous! Yesterday was nice too, but yeah its been pretty dreary lol I guess we have a few nice days and I get excited! lol I think tomorrow is supposed to be around 18, with clouds.
 
Yeah, I get excited too when I wake up and hear the birds and see the sun... UNTIL I get outside and have to clean the frost off my car so I can drive! :ymad: :lol: But, yes... the weekend's supposed to be nice! :sun:

By the way, love the beaches area!!! Maybe I'll come visit in the summer!:ylol:
 
We're walking distance to the beach too! You could come and visit me instead :cheerss: But needs to wait for next Winter, it's too hot for the beach now.
