Hi Guys-
I has IBS, Reflux, and a hiatal hernia.
Sometimes I get burning pain in my stomach, and it always ends in diarrhea.
The pain stars right between my belly button and ribs, it then consumes my entire abdomen. I'm on so many meds right now I don't even know what to do.
Has anyone ever had this problem, or anything like it?
Thanks so much!
:thug:

Meds:

Anxiety
-gabapentin-300mg x3 day
-Prozac-10mg
-clonipen-25mg
IBS
-probiotic
-mirilax-17g
reflux
dexilant-60mg

ps- i'm 19 if that makes a difference...:sign0085:

Alybaly402 your symptoms sound like a blockage forming but then releasing after it passes the narrowed section. Your hernia could be causing partial blockages or it's possible that active inflammation could be causing them meaning you may have been misdiagnosed with IBS and may actually have a form of IBD. What tests have you had done?

I'm going to tag afidz as she has dealt with a hernia for years which causes it's own set of problems. Any info or support you can provide would be appreciated afidz. :)

Thanks guys.
for my reflux I don't eat or drink anything with caffeine (coffee, chocolate), citrus, and I also try to stay away from fried foods.
I had a colonoscopy 3 years ago and they found nothing, The last endoscopy i had showed esophagitis and mild gastritis.

To me it kind of sounds like the esophagitis and gastritis paired with with the hiatal hernia is causing the problem. I would definitely try to get a scope soon, 3 years is a long time to go with out when you have a disease like IBD. Have you tried doing a liquid diet for a little while? It might help the swelling go down in your upper GI tract, kind of give it a break, if you will
