The past few days, my stomach has been burning after I eat. It doesn't feel intestinal. I'm pretty sure it's my stomach. It feels like acid is eating a hole in it. Is that what a stomach ulcer feels like? I take a prevacid every day for a hiatal hernia but I've noticed some reflux lately, too. Not acid reflux, but like the food coming back up. I don't know what's going on.

Are you on any corticosteroids for the flare mentioned in your sig? That always does it to me. I take TUMS, which help, but they're also habit forming. If I were doing things right I'd probably talk to my doc about Nexium or something.

HI Stephanie, My mom has the same problem with here hiatal hernia. there is drug for this it's called Pariet(rabeprazole) it works very well for my mom. Especially with the food coming up after eating and nausea or it could be a ulcer if it doesn't feel like it's a flare up. this drug is also good for ulcers especially acid reflux. but this only a suggestion. you may have to go the GP and get checked out. i wouldn't let this continue much longer especially if it's making you feel worse for the past few weeks . best wishes.
