Can Cimetidine help Crohn's disease?

I read an interesting article about a heartburn medication called Cimetidine that is proving to be a potential anti-cancer agent.

I wonder if there is any promise for this drug for crohn's disease because it is an anti-histamine and it modulates the body’s immune response.
