Humira is helpful for many people who takes it. It helps reducing the inflammation and heal the GI tract. Many will be able to achieve remission while taking it so it should contribute to reduce/stop your bleeding. You can take a look at the Humira/adalimumab sub-section of the forum for informations and experiences: http://www.crohnsforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59

I have been on Humira for 2 years. Been in remission for 18 months. It is a good med. Don't let the list of possible side effects scare you. They are very rare. I decided that I definitely had Crohns, the cancer risk went from 3 in 100,000 too 6 in 100,000. That means 999,994 people on Humira will not get cancer. It does happen to somebody and the risk needs to be dealt with, just don't let that keep you from considering the benefits of the med.

I had a lot of bleeding issues when i started in fact bleeding was my main complaint, it didn't have much pain at all, but was bleeding pretty much daily.. Started humira going on 5 months ago.. My bleeding pretty much stopped after the first month.. Will only occassionally bleed now and can usually be traced back to eating something i shouldn't have.. Humira is a scary drug and i didn't want to be on it, but it helps, and so far i have had a few minor issues from it but the good out weighs the bad.. Or at least so far
