I recently had a third flare up since I was diagnosed with crohn's disease a couple of years ago. This flare up hasn't been as bad as the first but I lost almost 2 stone in weight and began to vomit every day whenever I ate. I went back to my consultant and she decided to put me on a course of steroids called Prednisolone. They didn't work straight away, I had to wait a few days before they began to work properly. They did eventually and for about 2 weeks I felt completely better. But then I began to get bad heartburn and pains high up in my stomach. My doctor said it was stomach acid and put me on something called Mupps that gets rid of it. They worked at first, but now the stomach pains have come back. It's the same time every night at around 4:00pm after I've had a bowel movement. I can now not eat at night otherwise I am in terrible pain. Has anyone else suffered from this since taking steroids? I am now on 30mg of prednisolone.
