Hey, I am looking for info regarding the use of marijuana for IBD in Canada. I live in Ontario. I don't know enough about the law, or about medicinal marijuana. How a person with IBD would go about this, I haven't a clue either! I am seriously considering this route, and could access it, however how/when does it become "medicinal"? I read some posts about having your Doc sign papers etc...? Any information appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

So it can be very hard to get the official legal status for Canada, however the majority of compassion clubs out recognise how useful marijuana can be in treating IBD. Membership is as simple as a statement of diagnosis from your doctor. No one in Ontario (possibly all of Canada) has had a conviction for possession stand if they challenged it.

Where in Ontario are you located? If you aren't in a major urban area there are many compassion clubs that will ship.

I didn't find it all that hard to get my medical marihuana license. It's done thru this program called the mmar. You can get forums online to apply.
I had to get my family doctor to fill out the paperwork and a note from my gi saying he agrees with this forum of treatment for me.
I weighed a hundred pounds so they willing to go down that road

One thing I had to do though was get my gp to sign a release saying he's not resposible for any side effects that might come from using it. Once I brought him that forum he was willing to proceed.

I use compassion clubs in Canada find the best one is the British Columbia compassion club society. Nice selection and they send across Canada

I wouldn't recommend using health Canada's supply. It's not very good and it's limited to one strain. And not that good

Good luck.
