In 1998 Dr.Andrew Wakefield published a paper in the lancet which claimed much the same although not specific to black children. His claims have been been totally discredited and he has been struck off as a doctor in the UK. Subsequent studies have shown no link between the MMR vaccine and either autism or bowel disease.
Each parent has to decided for themselves and weigh up the risks.

With all due respect, I don't think this article has much of anything to do with IBD, and I also this could quickly become a heated discussion. I'm locking this thread as I don't feel it's a credible article nor is it very pertinent to the forum.
