Hi all,

Forgive me if this question has been tossed around already but I have not been able to find any relevant discussions in this forum.
I have Crohn's in the TI (for about 10 years) and am currently on Stelara. I try to stick to a pescatarian diet, avoiding meat, dairy, grains, nuts, and seeds. I do eat eggs and seafood.

I have a history of narrowing in the TI and elsewhere in the small intestine but have never had a stricture, fistula, obstruction, or surgery. But I often get abdominal cramps during the night so I try to avoid too much fiber at dinner.

I sometimes get really constipated and had a very bad experience recently.

Question: I've read that drinking a tablespoon of olive oil on an empty stomach every morning can aid in digestion, essentially lubricating the GI tract and easing the movement of food through the system.

Has anyone tried this and had any good results? Any side effects or risks?

I will of course ask my doctor but as many of you know they are not always very interested or knowledgeable in dietary solutions.

Thanks in advance for your feedback.
