Changes to food that makes me ill

I've generally always had a good feel for what I can can't manage to eat so that I don't end up in the bathroom all the time.

Just recently I've found that eating white bread is disastrous. I didn't really have any on holiday and when I got home I made a sandwich for work and I was in the toilets 4 times. I've cut it out for a couple of weeks and it's made a big difference.

I used to be able to eat grapes and melon, but tonight I've smacked on some grapes trying to be healthier and now my stomach sounds like an old boiler and I've got some pain.

Could anyone recommend any kind of 'good foods' that work for them? I'm trying to lose some weight and I have always failed in the past but the stuff I should be eating is making my life a misery

I was in Japan earlier this year and I found that Japanese food was really easy on me. A lot of rice and fish mainly. I'm now flaring, just did EEN for a couple weeks, and am doing low-FODMAP now that I'm eating again - rice and fish are allowed, so I'm doing a lot of that, with pretty good results. It's a diet that emphasizes low lactose, low gluten, and low fructose. Eventually I'll start adding foods in and see what I react to and what I don't, but for now I'm doing well with mainly rice & fish. I was having diarrhea 10 to 20x per day when the flare was at its worst, and now I'm having formed stools 1 to 3x per day. A definite improvement!
