Just curious if chest pains could be a symptom of Ibd or more of a side effect of a medicine?

Grace had pain in her chest this afternoon.
It's only happened once today, so I'm not trying to jump off the bridge......yet.

Just curious your experiences with chest pains.

She's still on zantac. I asked about her stomach and neck but she said it's not that.
However with all her stomach involvement with this flare it's something to keep in mind.

She kept pointing to the rib cage.

Rib pain can also be from the arthritis. Both my girls have costochondritis. It's horribly painful.

Newbie here. My 10yo daughter was diagnosed 2 weeks ago. Her first sympton was chest pain as you describe. Before the other symptoms flared, it was thought to be acid reflux. Turns out, it was inflammation and ulcers due to her CD of esophagus.

Hope this helps.

Welcome SCAR2003, sorry you have had to join our club. Hope your daughter is feeling better and on the road to remission.

My daughter gets chest pain often. She describes it as a stabbing pain, located on the left side which is quite scary.. I've taken her to the DR's and the ER but no one can tell us why its happening. At the hospital they said it could be a pulled muscle or acid. We tried Nexium which is a PPI but it didn't make any difference.

I hope Grace feels better soon.

Daughter with chest pain on high dose of asacol. She recently had chest pain again but ekg shows nothing. Started to have allergies and put on medication for it. Allergies under control and no more chest pain. ????

Only had chest pain from one of his antibiotics I think. Hope it isn't anything else to worry about

A gets chest pains from time to time. I always assumed it to be gas, reflux, or pain from ulcers (she has them in her stomach and small intestine). For her they come on quickly, will have her doubled over in pain, but then are gone in less than a minute. It could happen several times in a day and then not again for weeks.

:eek2:Wow, it could be a number of things.
I caught her rubbing her chest a couple times but she never said anything.
So I'll wait, see and pray it's not another symptom to add to her list.

:eek2:She is weaning of her prednisone. Last night she was hot and sweaty.
Could withdrawal cause chest pains? She is taking 2.5 mg every other day.
