I've recently been getting chills sometimes, but it seems to only be when I'm on the toilet and during a particularly painful BM. I know that fever and chills are pretty common in Crohn's, but I had always been under the impression (for no reason at all) that it was referring to random chills and fevers, and not specifically chills during a painful BM. I don't have any fevers that I am aware of (and I always run a couple degrees low anyway), and I'm pretty sure I am not getting chills outside of this specific type of scenario. I wonder if the chills are because of the pain, or if they're just typical "Crohn's chills" that happen on rough days on which the pain would happen to be high as well. Does this happen to anyone else?

I've not had any chills but as for fevers sometimes I can wake up in the morning and have a really bad temperature, night sweats are common with me. I've had a few heated sessions on the toilet lol but that's about it mostly to do with the constipation.

I suppose it's just how your. odd reacts to the situation.

I think I have noticed I get the chills sometimes right after a bad bm. I think that D just takes a lot out of you and I have issues w properly absorbing nutrients. I am more sensitive to temperature when weak. Hope you feel better.

Thanks, guys, for your input! I've been noticing that I also get the chills when I try to hold it in if I feel like I need to go to the toilet (whether it's a BM or gas). It's a really unpleasant feeling but at least it passes quickly.

I get chills around BM's too, also if it's a really bad attack I sweat like crazy when on the toilet!

Often after i've had a bad session I get the chills/shivers etc.
