Every time I have a beef curry & egg fried rice from a Chinese take away my stools firm up and my bloating and cramps just go away for about 24 hours? I don't know why but just about every Chinese take away in the UK seems to use the same sauce, what is the magical ingredient that gives me such relief??

I wish I could live of the stuff but I worry about the high salt content in take outs.

Anyone else had a similar experience with this food?

This is just thin sliced lean beef in a sauce so no deep frying, maybe flash fried in a wok and then the sauce is added, I don't know why but it works for me!

i suspect its the monosodium glutomate..

i also love chinese currys.. they're milder than traditional indian ones, and never cause me any tummy probs.

Curry contains Turmeric, which is a natural anti inflammatory herb. It also inhibits the growth of bad bacteria. In higher doses in tincture form it can even kill intestinal parasites.

I used Turmeric and Ginger capsules as my early treatment to reduce inflammation. It worked fairly well, but was not the entire solution.

I still take 500mg of both along with Krill Oil for its anti inflammatory effects and many other benefits that these supplements bring.

I used as much as 2000mg of Ginger and Turmeric a day, when that was all I was using for treatment.
