Cholestagel Colesevelam to treat Diarrhea

Has anybody here tried Cholestagel Colesevelam to treat Diarrhea and is on Cholestagel? How long does it take to work?

Cholestagel off label use is not a good idea - pancreatitis reported after use. Concentrate on reducing colon inflammation - inflamed colon - not absorbing liquids - Diarrhea.

I was put on Colesevelam after my Bowel resection in March 2018 and it has been a life saver for me. Not sure what long term effects will be ,but for now I'm doing great.
