Crohns can lead to stunted growth and delays in puberty. I was just recently diagnosed but had symptoms randomly before in my high school days. I didn't get my first period till around the age of 14, or the summer of my freshman year of high school. I'm only 5'2" and the shortest person at work. If your concerned talk with your doctor and see what he says. As another note, if your weight is under a certain poundage your body won't allow you to have a period because it can't sustain life.

Hi and welcome. Everyone gets their period at different times. My one friend was ten and another was 15 years old. I think I was like 14. So, I wouldn't panic if you are in your early teens. However, as Melissa said, Crohn's can affect puberty. If you are concerned, talk to your doctor about this.

If you are 27 then yes it's not normal you haven't gotten your period yet!

Just trying to lighten things up! ;)

Best to discuss this with your doctor and/or gynecologist.

Good luck! -Amy
