I was recently diagnosed with Crohn's after having joint pain in my knees, hips, back, ankles and shoulders for around 5 years. I had joint pain for almost 2 years before the intestinal symptoms showed up. I have been on Delzicol for about 4 weeks now and am not showing much improvement as of yet in either the joint pain symptoms or the intestinal symptoms, but I know that it can take some time. I am about to start a Boswellia Serrata regiment and will let everyone know how well it works. I have been on up to 800mg of NSAIDS 3X per day before with 0 relief in the joint pain so I will be interested to see how this works.

Just a precaution my gi said nsaids are bad for crohns so please check that out. I to suffer with a lot of joint pain and swelling. So far i have found nothing to help with it. Hope you begin to feel better soon.

Make sure to see a rheumotologist
They can work with your Gi
Spondyloarthritis is common with crohns
Ds has the juvenile version and is on humira for crohns with Mtx added for JSpA
His Rheumo has him use volteran gel ( NSAID ) that you put on the skin for joints that hurt
Works very well

Welcome to the Forum. I am not an expert nor a Doctor. This is just my opinion. Dezicol is used to treat Ulcerative Colitis. Where is your Crohn's located? NSAIds are not very good for your Belly. See a Rheumy about your joint pain. Sometimes your pain will disappear once your Crohn's is on remission and other it will bee there regardless of Crohn's activity. There are some medicines that will work for both conditions, like biologics. Let us know how it goes.
