I am 26 years old and I have had Crohns for about 15 years but just diagnosed over a year ago. I am on Cimzia shots once a month, but I have had to booster the shots due to low energy and major fatigue and elevated CRP. I have always had below normal blood pressure, and now my blood pressure in elevated. I have not been stressed to cause it, so i am thinking its the Cimzia or Crohns?????

It could be the Crohn's, it could be other meds you are taking(i.e. Pred), it could be Vit B deficiency. I have high blood pressure but it was discovered when I was younger than 30 and has been determined to be genetic. However, when I am flaring and on Prednisone, my BP goes CRRAAAAZZZYYYY!!!! Are you meds other than Cimzia?

Nope I am just on Cimzia and B12 shots. I think it too might be the Crohns seeing that my CRP is elevated (showing that the disease is active). I dunno I am just going to monitor it daily and see if it continues

Just don't spaz about it being the Cimzia just yet.

I normally have very low blood pressure and take meds for it. I haven't felt as much in need of the meds recently - possibly since I started taking Cimzia.

I'll start monitoring my BP too and will let you know if things are out of whack for me too. Not that I'm saying one has to do with another, but I might as well as well see what's going on to see if it might be more apt to be Cimzia?

I don't know, it sounded good in my head. I think it's past my bedtime.

A lot of things can cause high blood pressure - nutrition, level of activity as well as meds and general health. Be sure you get it checked out.

I've been on Cimzia for almost 5 months, and have seen my blood pressure steadily increase. I used to be 120/80 like clockwork. Then 129/72, then 139/80; my last visit was 159/92. The only change has been the Cimzia. Going to see my GP soon.
