Group, I need help has anyone out there been dignosed with CIVD on top of their crohns. I had blood work done last week and this morning I had the head of Hemotology calling me at 0700am telling me I needed to get into the hospital as soon as possible for transfusions. He said in his 25 years of being a doctor he has not seen numbers like I have. For those who have it you may understand the numbers he told me my IGG is supose to be between 700-1500 and mine are 235 My IGA is supose to be 60-400 and mine is undetectable Same with my IGM 60-300 and nothing.
I have made arragments to meet with him and get my first transfusions first thing Thurday morning and he said this could be a 6 to 8 month thing or a life time thing. This could also explain why none of the crohns drugs have worked and I am so worn out. (CIVD) stands for Common Varable Immunodefiency Disorder. Any help would be great.
