Closed water valve? LOL

So I thought this was funny and wanted to share with my fellow IBDers. Nothing big, but I woke up at 530am this morning to go to the bathroom. I'm in a flare up, so it obviously wasn't pretty, and I try to flush. CLUNK! CLUNK! NO WATER!! My dad happened to have been awake to let the dog out at that very moment, and it turned out he had closed the water valve for the entire house because of a small leak somewhere downstairs. So I said "DAD! Not a good idea to close the water when you live with a Crohnie!", and half asleep he goes "Whaaat?" LOL! So I said "I have Crohn's, I wake up to poop, no water!". We turned it back on for the flush (or rather semi-flush :s) and then off again for the night. Today, we shut off only the section that was leaking, phew! LOL! Time to call the plumber! We should have an IBD plumber speed pass or something lol! Have a lovely weekend everyone

If only we had a valve we could close when we are flushing hehehe
Glad your dad was able to isolate the problem, have to say that has been my biggest nightmare, esp when I lived at home with 6 others and 1 toilet!!! now I have my own house and it has 4 toilets, with my hubby and two small children there's never a Q. Crohnies dream!!! I begged my hubby to buy this house just because of the toilets. hahaha
