Posting this at 5:50am, I've now been up for the past three hours.

Dealing with nightly night sweats and fever. Getting up between 4-5 times to run to the washroom (I'm sure my roommates aren't too thrilled with being woken up...) and some nights pretty relentless restless legs.

I've been trying not to eat past 8pm, and am generally in bed , asleep by midnight. Only to start waking up ever hour to two with symptoms.

I'm in college and it's really starting to effect my attendance etc.

Any advice would be much appreciated :)

First, you need take care of yourself then deal with everything else. So go to your GI doctor and find out what is going on. You aren't going to get any better until you know what to do.
Second, does your college have a special needs/ disabilities office? If so, contact them, they are very helpful in how to handle the room mate and class issues.
My daughter has gone through this, she visits with her professors each semester and let's them know her circumstances. She missed 2months last semester, and between the disabilities office and the fact she had talked to them. It really helped her when it came to knowing what to do academically.

Thank you for the comment. I've vaguley told my teachers I was recently diagnosed and have submitted hospital notes when needed but looking into disability is something I should do. Thanks for the thought!

Sorry I didn't mean you should go on disability . What I meant is your college should have services for students with special needs. I can't think of the actual name of the office . They help with things like getting a dorm room with a restroom and if you want a room to yourself . They also help you out when you need to miss classes and giving you all your academic options . Not sure if your college offers that or not but they have been very helpful .
I hope you are feeling better today and you are able to get some rest.

Yes sorry, I meant within school not general disability.
I'm currently living off campus in a house with three others. They are all aware of my condition and never mention anything about being woken up etc, I just worry I guess. I would like to have a one bedroom too myself, but too much money.

Again, thanks for the advice :)

I have no advice at all sorry but I can only tell you I feel your pay. I'm up all night going to the bathroom ever since I had surgery a few years ago. It's awful I also work full time and volunteer. You could try Imodium (itake one when I know I'll be out of the house for a long time). There's also prescription lomatil you can try, that stuff makes me super bloated though :(

I have no clue. I don't know what that would feel like etc. My family Doctor has been less than helpful and I'm currently waiting for a specialist. However I am seeing the surgeon that scoped me and sent off my pathology report/ diagnosed me next week. Hopefully she can give me a better idea whats going on.
