Colonoscopy Appt.

Well...I just confirmed my appointment with the clinic for next Thursday. I will be doing my prep 11/5 and then 11/6 will be my Colonoscopy. Will keep you updated on how things are going. oo:

I'd be interested if there were some sort of liquid calculator to help with the prep. I know there are apps though for colonoscopy prep.

Well. Today is the last day for real food. I suppose I ought to be chilling some of my liquids for tomorrow's excitement. :cheerss:

Started the prep at 5pm. Was able to get down the magnesium citrate and 8oz of the miralax prep. But, about 10-15 minutes ago I ended up throwing up part of it. uke_r: Thankfully we can finish for the procedure tomorrow. But, right now I'm a bit apprehensive for the rest of the prep.

I too threw up when I had mag citrate. Hopefully that was the last of that and it will get not worse. ( I would say better, but its colonoscopy prep so...)

Thanks. All done for tonight. Stomach doesn't feel good and backside is raw. Gotta start again at 3am though to finish by 6am. Yuk...

Ended up throwing up some of my prep again this morning. Only had 16oz to go, called the on call doctor at the clinic worried that I'd messed everything up. A little after 5am he called me back and asked what my bowels were like along with when I am to arrive. Told him they were pretty much clear and he told me I was totally done and not to drink anything more before showing up.

I used a drinking straw for the prep.and it was easier.
A bit late for you now, I know, but it might help someone else.

Yeah, I used a straw too. Didn't make a difference unfortunately.

Just returned. Ready for something to eat and a nap! Said everything looked quiet, although took some biopsies to make sure. Confirmed that I have IBD & Ulcerative Colitis. Original GI said I had Crohn's, but my doctor here made no mention of it from what he saw.

I am glad for you, that you are done with the test! I am sure your nap is much needed! Enjoy eating when you wake up.
