So the colonoscopy went well. The colon looked good and the GI doctor removed a polyp and took biopsies. She says since the colon looks good that it must be the c diff that's made my life a nightmare since April (I wonder if I've had it since September when the first episode of pain, diarrhea and blood clots happened)
My PCP also thinks I have a gastric ulcer which he has been treating with a PPI
It would be wonderful if all that been going on is the c diff. Time will tell as I slowly start to feel better after coming off of the flagyl and I'm gonna go to work for the first time in over a week today. Please let it just be the c diff (I'm concerned because I was also having extra intestinal manifestations like the skin peeling off the inside of my checks as well as mouth irritation and sores - maybe because I was just so malnourished???)
So I'm gonna approach life with a new hope that I'm gonna get better and that I'm gonna beat c diff and that my biopsies come back clean. I will have a follow up appt in about a month with my GI for the biopsy results.
