Managed to drink all 4 litres of the vile bowel prep and had my colonoscopy today. All they found was a small ulcer in the last part of the small bowel. Does anyone know if this could be IBD? They have taken random biopsies from the colon so I have to wait about 3 weeks for an appointment with a gastro doctor where I will get my results.

I'm not sure on the results for good job making it through the prep. That in itself is an accomplishment. Hope you find what is wrong.

The prep was horrendous, 1000 times worse than the colonoscopy itself. Also did anyone have really bad diarrhoea after having a colonoscopy. I was so excited to eat normally but everything I eat is going in one end and straight out the other.

Yes that is normal its a good idea to make sure you dont get dehydrated and stay near the loo for the next 12hrs ;)

I had my 2nd colonosc last Thursday - it's one way to spend a day i guess :-s

After my scopes i've been fine got to say, always try my best to stick to a light diet for a few days but as you know being so empty it's hard.

Glad it went okay. An ulcer could certainly be a sign of IBD.

I refused KP again as I said on your other thread, was willing to take a chance on something worse rather than having that again.

Picolax for me was so much milder, I was off the toilet more than I was on, fast asleep at 10pm plus only 500ml fluid total to drink!
