I know this is late notice, but my son is having his second colonoscopy tomorrow morning. He is currently taking Azathioprine and was put back on prednisone because of having a flare and bleeding. The first two weeks of being on the steroid he had no bleeding, now the third week he is having bleeding. The doctor wants to double check some things inside before making the decision to put him on Remicade.

Is there certain questions I should ask her before she does the procedure? I have my notebook ready but I am so overwhelmed that I dont know what to ask in specific.

Thanks!

Sorry i don't have any specific advise, but I wanted to wish you and your son well for the colonoscopy tomorrow.
Perhaps have a read up on colonscopies and remicade treatments.

Take good care of yourself.

Hmm no questions here as my daughter's colonoscopy was done on an emergency basis so I didn't have time to think. I think most of the questions come after though. I didn't have time for that either...wisked into consult room in hospital and had 15 minutes to absorb what I was being told and OK Remicade...All before she came out of anesthesia! Of course I have all the questions now!

Anyway, I have seen others ask things like, where is the disease, mild, moderate, severe...inflammation acute or chronic, presence of granulomas?(but I think you have to wait for biopsy results for that...oh maybe ask if they will be taking biopsy.

Sorry that is all I can muster up at the moment. Good Luck and keep us posted!

I agree with everyone else. The real questions are after...... You're ready for those, yes?
