colonoscopy

Hi everyone. I'm due for the colon test next month. I was wondering, if your inflammed does it make you bleed more from the biopsies.

I've seen before and after pictures of the scope where they took biopsies and it does make that spot bleed for a bit but heals up quickly. You shouldn't have blood in your stool afterwards or anything like that. If you're on a hard core blood thinner I'd mention it and ask them what they think before the procedure is done. Changes are they will say its ok but always be safe rather than sorry.

The prep is really the worst part of the procedure, unless you aren't being put under. :(

had one last week and they took a few biopsies and they give you a card to tell you the signs to look for if you have a bleed you need to make your way to a&e but touch hairy wood ive had a few scopes and no probs after, well apart from the time i set up an account on my pc afterwards and the next day had no feckin idea what my passwords where, hence they tell you not to do this stuff haha
good luck mate
