Can anyone recommend the BEST colorectal surgeon they know or have heard about for a second opinion please? Anywhere in the US, just want names of the best. Thank you!!

U.S. news and world report lists the top surgeons by category. You can buy a copy or it might be available online.

Yes I know I can find that info online but was looking for more of a personal referral/experience. Thank you though!

My surgery was done by Dr. Roger Hurst at the University of Chicago Hospital. There is usually a 3 month wait to get in to see him. People do come from across the country to have him cut on them.

My brother had a surgeon for his colorectal surgery for cancer and a year later I used her for my total blockage surgery for Crohns. Her name is Linda Marie Farkas and she works out of Duke University Hospital in Raleigh, NC for patients like me. Her surgeries for cancer patients are usually done in Durham at the Duke University Hospital.
My brother had an 11 hr surgery and she was there the next morning when he woke up holding his hand.
For me if I had waited two more weeks for surgery I wouldn't be here, she saved my life and saw me like Oct 19th for a consult and operated Nov 5th.
She is caring and knows what she's doing, such less worries when you have complete trust in your surgeon.

Also being in Florida have you considered the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville? My aunt went there for a bone marrow transplant and the people there are amazing as well!!! Good luck
