Something we're slowly working on behind the scenes is a means of providing links to threads that answer commonly asked questions. However, sometimes it's hard to keep track of what's asked all the time :) This is a request for you to post questions that you see asked often around the forum. For example:

"Weight GAIN and Crohn's Disease"
"Possible Remicade Side Effects"
"Possible Humira Side Effects"

I'll collect the questions over time and find quality threads that answer the questions which we'll then provide links to.

Thanks for your help!

"I am having surgery" or "I am having a resection"

which then often leads to these sort of of questions:

"What to expect from surgery"

"Recovery time after surgery"

"Side effects of Prednisone"

........

"Am I flaring"

"What is remission"

"I feel so tired/fatigued"

A lot of people ask about what blood tests mean but Rebecca has that well covered in the wiki so maybe a link straight there. Perhaps reference ranges could be added to the meanings so everything is covered.

That's it for now...:eek2:

OOh do you have the link to the wiki.. I was just on the phone with prometheus trying to decipher thier tests, the lady told me to stop trying to diagnose my own son, that was his doctors job!
Trina

Other questions could include:
joint pain and crohns
over the counter medications
probiotics
I think you should lik to the funny thread "you know you have crohns when..."

Not to sound like I disagree with the idea, but I think alot of people will just ask anyways, because it's nice to actually talk to someone about the subject. You get a chance to explain why you're asking, get personalized responses, etc. I mean, I google the **** outta everything, and I still like to ask questions.

Again, I'm not saying it's a bad idea to have a list of commonly asked questions with links to answers. I just think it'd take away from the greatness of the forum if every redundant question a newbie asked was responded to with "look here and shut up"... Which I'm sure isn't David's intent.

I guess the point I'm trying to make is that it wouldn't cure FAQ's, because sometimes people just want to talk to someone about it. And who can blame them?

Either way, "what should I eat?" (which I know you're working on), and "am I at risk for cancer?" were two things I asked just about everyone...

- Is there an way to handle the 'D'?
- How can I handle the pain I'm going through?
- I feel so isolated from my friends and family. What are some ways I don't have to cancel every event, trip, even movie (usually at the last minute) due to my Crohn's?
- How can I explain to my friends and family that this isn't just an upset tummy, but a whole lot more?
- What are my rights as a patient (in any country, living there or traveling)?

I have so many questions that I've had in my 30 years of this. Many of my own and from other people.

Thanks for this. It's very important, especially for the newly diagnosed.
