Hi all,
Diagnosed aged 15, small bowel resection aged 17 (Am now 22 and gutted I had it done really, doctors shouldn't of given me the option at such a young age especially because I wasn't in the position of have the op or die) felt pretty well for a couple years, but a different type of pain and discomfort came back from previous symptoms.
On the whole felt much better since resection but been living on a half liquid half solid food diet for a while now. I have bled twice from the back passage in last few months and lost a lot of blood first time. The last one was due to alcohol I think (new years).
I feel that gradually my bowel is deteriorating and I'll eventually have to have another op because how uncomfortable and burning sensation inside i can feel sometimes. I have been on liquid diet now for about 3 weeks (exception of soup and rice) and have been feeling okay now my blood levels are back to normal, but bottom right side of my bowel is still inflamed, not painful but just inflamed and can feel it pop in and out sometimes, was wondering what you guys think it could be?
I think I'm having capsule camera to see exactly whats going on very soon and doctor has put me on budesonide for the meantime.
My symptoms have worsened since my first bleed, much more constipation and very small stools and I feel like a proper meal is really out of the equation now unless something is done.
