Constant Urge to Urinate

Male 25 Years Old Diagnosed With:
Crohn's
Ulcerative Colitis
IBS
GERD
All about a month ago... After colonoscopy & endoscopy, the urge to urinate has been constant, less then a minute going i feel the urge to go again. And it feels like I will not make it into the bathroom. Had blood and urine test done, they came back normal.
I take 2,000mg Pentasa 2x a day
60mg Dexalant 1x a day
GI says its not the medication. Or a UTI

Anyone else feel this way? Please help

Made an appointment, have not gone yet. It's very difficult to work under these conditions.

I would think about asking for a CT with contrast.
I get abscesses behind the balder near the top of the sigmoid loop and most of the same issues.

I had a ct scan with contrast before all this started (urination), do you think i need another?

That sounds like a bladder infection. Did they test your urine for signs of bacteria?

i took a urine test but im not sure what they looked for, the only answer i got was "it came back normal"

I am in the exact same boat. Frequent erratic and oftentimes painful urination that has started with all of my stomach issues.

Bladder spasms or prostate enlargement can cause those symptoms, but of course your urologist will be able to determine that. I hope you get the answer quickly, urinary urgency is no fun. Make sure you're drinking plenty of water - concentrated urine can irritate your bladder and make spasms more frequent.

UPDATE:
Went to the urologist... seems i have an enlarged prostate.

Enlarged prostate is very unusual in a 25 year old. Make sure the doc checks for an inflamed prostate (prostatitis) that can be treated with antibiotics.

I presume the doc has or will run a PSA test on you. If it is mildly elevated (between 4 and 10) it could be just another sign of the enlarged prostate. but if it is much over 10 it could be a sign or prostate cancer, although prostate cancer is also very rare at age 25.

At the moment im taking Sulfamethoxazole and alfuzosin, the doctor says that it will most likely help. If not they will have to do more testing.

That's good. Alfuzosin is an alpha-blocker used to treat enlarged prostate and sulfamethoxazole is an antibiotic commonly used for urinary infections. I hope you get some relief soon.
