In 2005 I had my first fistula and nothing ever else happened to me (before the beginning of this year) but I did notice I started getting hives when I ate certain cereal, if I continued it would be worse getting gastric distress later in the day...of course couldn't put a finger on it until the day I went in to full anaphalaxis that required emergency room treatment.
The allergy doc and I figured it out a a flour mold....
Anyone else get this whith onset of Crohn's?

Hey Bill and welcome to the forum! :D
I went through the same with sulpha drugs but not food...scary huh? Do you carry an epipen now?

I mashed some up and using my sons diabetic pick on my arm put it on the abrasion...Immediate bad swelling...took it to the allergist and thats what we found.
It tended to be in the cheaper no name cheerio type cereal, name brand didn't have a problem...guess they make it for the no names with older supplies...
also got nailed on a pancake mix...it's even on Snopes about that mold killing people.
