How many out there with Crohn's and gallbladder issues? My specialist ordered an ultrasound and the pill camera for me last Thursday. He has yet to confirm Crohn's but seems likely to him from the biopsy results. He decided not to treat anything since I was managing not to bad on my own with food choices but since Sunday I have been in bed with a fever and for the most part lower back pain along with intermittent belly pain all across it and the usual nausea that I deal with everyday. I almost went to the emergency department but with Tylenol I have been able to lower my temperature enough to make it into work. I have no idea if this is a gallbladder attack or related to my bowel issues. Everything just takes so long with the medical system here. Uggh

Last year I was told I have gall stones, they don't bother me. I have to be careful with what I'm eating.

Had my gall bladder removed a few years ago. The surgeon mentioned it is common for Crohnies. The pain is pretty horrendous.

Try to keep with a soft or liquid diet. I was able to keep my crohn's at bay for 3-4 years with a really strict diet. Might help with the pain.

Make me shiver when I hear capsule endoscopy. I aspirated on mine and then when finally got it down it got stuck in my terminal ileum. Put on lots of some kind of laxative drink in the hospital and way too many steroids went into a steroidal rage my husband laughs about now. Then the day they were going to do surgery I finally passed it....ya never again for me on that one.:ywow::ywow::ywow:

Samboi I have read its very common for Crohns patients to have gallbladder issues too. I really hope it isn't but im at the point that if it needs to come out then get it done. The pain can be quite bad and im never sure what exactly is the problem...bowel or gallbladder. Uggh

I did go to the hospital and they pumped me with fluids as I was dehydrated and sent me home with something to remove a bowel blockage. I think this morning it finally emptied but the pain is still there just milder and I can tolerate. I finally tried a boiled egg as my first food for the day. Hoping it doesn't cause any problems.

And pleeeaaasssse GI Jane, I did not need the extra bit of info to scare me. lol Just looking at the size of that thing put the fear in me. I can barely swallow my teeny thyroid pill every day!

I didn't know this, and I'm going to do my best to forget it. But just in case, what are the symptoms of gall bladder trouble, so as to distinguish from Crohns??

Jack, I feel like they are very similar. Pain after eating, nausea and/or vomiting, bloating and in my case anyway a very sore lower back.

I don't know but seven years ago I had pancreatitis. Some of the symptoms sound familiar. Pain in the back and vomiting

I wondered about that too. Im hoping the hospital checked for all that. I'm still not great so if it gets worse again they told me to come back.
