Crohns and tiredness ?

I am at the hospital at 2pm today and wanted to ask the doctor about tiredness and crohns ? I have been exhausted since christmas and am wondering if its connected ???

It absolutely could be connected! Talk to your doctor, but it could be a vitamin deficiency (B12?) or anemia or something else that a supplement/injections could help with. Of course, Crohn's doesn't always let you get a good night's sleep either :/ Best of luck figuring it out!

The vitamin deficiency is absolutely a good possiblity. But, yes, crohns can make you tired. As well, some of the medications they have us on can do it.

Have said this a squillion times. Vitamin B12 injections are magic!! Get you levels checked.

I have had a blood test done today after mentioning the tiredness , not sure if they are testing for b12 tho ??? will they test for that does anyone know ?

I am tired the whoooole day... Even a good nights sleep does not help..

I can buy vitamin b12 tablets at my local chemist, would these be any good ? they are quite expensive...

Dave, you may have to ask for them to test your B12, folate, and vitamin D levels. It is something they SHOULD be doing however.

I dont know if I'd buy the supplements until they test you. They may not help if you have an absorbtion issue, which many of us do. If you are low on iron and B12, they usually will give you injections to help.
