Hey everyone,

I wanted to let you know that if you are Jewish, between the ages of 18-26, and qualify to go on a Birthright Israel trip, there is one special for IBD patients. I went last year, and it was the most amazing 10 days of my life! Not only seeing the whole state of Israel, but spending 10 days with a group of people that I could relate to and feel normal with. Some of those people are now my best friends. We never had to worry about bathrooms, food, etc because the trip staff made sure we always had access to decent bathrooms and there was always something at every meal everyone could eat. Our trip staff was two pediatric GI's from CHOP who also both had Crohn's so they were wonderful as well. Not only did they make sure everyone was doing ok, but they were always willing to answer any questions we had about anything IBD related. Words cannot describe what a great experience it was for me, and I hope some of you take advantage and are able to go this year! It is put on through the trip organizers, CCFA, and Jewish federation of Philadelphia (but you don't have to be from there to go). I will attach the info to this post for you but here is a link as well https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?...98093555882.2078966.1342290047&type=1&theater

So good to hear!! My Crohn's is not doing well right now, but I have my flight already booked to go to the Holy Land with my sister in 6 weeks! I am super nervous, but to hear Birthright does special trips to Irsael gives me great hope. Thank you for sharing.

I know this is old, but I just have to say, "WOW". That is wonderful. Go, Birthright!!!!!
