Crohn's Disease is stupid

Is it just me or does anybody else think this disease is just stupid (or any other auto-immune disease for that matter). I mean, if you think about it these diseases are basically the body attacking itself ... our own bodies and we cannot stop it. It makes me think why we were designed this way and what the hell the point of this stupid disease is ... sorry just venting my frustrations ... I've never been this sick this long and Im tired of it. Just had my 4th Remicade infusion and I feel like I should be 100% but I feel like Im not even halfway there.

Yes I agree !
Also the bloody treatments drive you crazy aswell and cause EVEN MORE problems than we started off with !!
I hate crohns lol

The up side is....Mayo is still doing extensive research to hopefully one day have a " cure ". Quite a few years away; however, that which does not kill us can only make us stronger. I'm a firm believer that we are all blessed with challenges for a purpose, weather it be to help others with counsel, support ( this forum) or education. This disease causes a common bond among nations, pulling us closer. - hugs-

Agree as well! I'm also starting to think that it being categorized as a GI disease is dubious, maybe stupid, too! Every other specialist refers things back to my GI, who's a wonderful sensible physician and a good human being, but the GI aspects of my disease are maybe 20% max!
