I am waiting for my sit down with my GI to fully discuss my diagnosis. I was referred to him from the ER so I had my colonoscopy where he said there is no doubt it is Crohn's and I will get a phone call when the biopsy comes back to fully discuss everything.

Anyway in the mean time.

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a couple of years ago. But now that I am reading more about Crohn's, I am wondering if what we thought was Fibro, is actually Crohn's.

I have a lot of dizzy spells, migraines, joint pain, body pains, problems sleeping, depression and anxiety, nausea, food sensitivities, hot and cold flashes, fatigue, numbness and tingling, muscle spasms... the list goes on.

Is it possible I have both? Have I really been dealt this cruddy of a hand in terms of health? lol Or am I correct that a lot of this ties in with the Crohn's?

I think it's possible to have both, but I'm not an expert. :) I say the best way to come to a conclusion would be to bring it up at the discussion with your doctor. I'm sure they will be able to give you some answers.

Oh believe me, I fully intend to talk to the GI about it. I was just curious about other opinions and/or experience :)

You can absolutely have both. We even have a support group on here for Crohnies with Fibromyalgia: http://www.crohnsforum.com/showthread.php?t=48811

Some of the symptoms can be IBD related like the joint pain but the neurological symptoms you describe like numbness are unlikely to be related to Crohn's. have you looked into vitamin deficiency, specifically b12, d3 and magnesium?

You can have both, but all the above symptoms can be caused by crohns directly or indirectly. I have had every symptom you mentioned at some point or another. You defaintly need to seek medical advice though since there are a million variables.
