Crohns flare and adnexal cysts??

I was recently hospitalized with severe dehydration caused by another Crohns flare and my CT showed adnexal cysts so they are requesting me to see my GYN. Has anyone ever had this issue, is it Crohn's related and should I be freaking out? I've had Crohn's disease since the 70's and my ileostomy since 1981 & I've never had this come up before! Anyone want to weigh in on this?

:ybatty: Well I guess I'm either a weirdo with new symptoms or no one has heard of this issue before? My research tells me Crohns and adnexal cysts can be related so was hoping I wasn't the only one that's heard this before. Apparently I am.

Hello Twisted Sister, I do not think you are a weirdo ~ just a possibility that the right person hasn't seen your post yet. It is amazing how many other symptoms and extra intestinal manifestations can happen with CD.
You had mentioned dehydration which I am so familiar with but have seemed to get more control over it with drinking coconut water - it seems to absorb pretty easily for me. I do not like all the salt in other drinks. Thought I would mention it just in case you want to ask your Dr. if it might help you too.
