I have crohn's in my stomach. Is there anyone else out there who has it there? If so what treatment route have you gone?

My GI is talking about putting me on Remicade. Will that help with it? Does it help with joint pain and fatigue?

Thanks for your help.

Mine is in my intestines (terminal illieum.) I'm about to start Remicade in the next couple of weeks as well. All I have read about it and talked to the doc about, I find that it is either a miracle drug or doesn't work. There doesn't seem to be much in between (of course I have not started it yet.)
Luckily there are more ways to treat it and if Remicade doesn't work for you, don't worry there are more treatments out there.

My Crohn's went as far up as my tongue before I was actually diagnosed. But now that we know what we're looking for, my stomach usually isn't hit as hard during a flare. Usually I've found that steroids are the first course of treatment that is actually effective with my upper-GI Crohn's issues.

But yes, Remicade is certainly worth a try; it should help all of your symptoms, if you respond well to it. And even if you only semi-respond, then your doc can add a med, probably. Good luck!
