My name is John and I've had Crohn's for a while now. I was finally diagnosed in the Navy about 1992 and medically discharged in 1993. I suffered through different drugs and doctors until about 1999 when I moved to North Florida and finally started getting decent advice but buy then I was pretty sick and in 2003 had a bowel resection which finally let me live normally until just recently.
Now my symptoms are back and I'm currently recovering from a Peri rectal abscess. That surgery sucks, the recovery has been rough to say the least. I consider myself fortunate because my symptoms have been so light for the last decade and I know how bad Crohn's can be but, I think the party is over for me I'm going to have to change my lifestyle and I'm here to find out any information I can get to make myself just a little healthier.
Thanks in advance for any tips I might get. From what I can tell so far this is a great forum and a wonderful resource.
