crohns to kilimanjaro

hey guys, im christopher hornby, 21, pipefitting engineer from scotland. i was dignoisied 15 months ago with crohns and am not going to be blunt.. it ruined my life. i was one of these lads who smokes all the time and couldnt wait for the weekend. for 3 months my diet changed, i had no appetite. my mum and dad were first to notice the weightloss. a month of pain and 6 doctors apointments went by then one day in work i lost just under a pint of blood whilst on the toilet. i rushed to my doctors to be sent home with them saying a ulcer in my stomach had burst and i was given a prescription. another month went by and i was in pain, i went to hospital and was admited. they took my blood said it was fine then sent me home. it took a harsh phonecall of my dad to get me near a gastro specialist. i finaly got my camera which revelied crohns disease and i was like....what?? never heard of it?? 10 mins later ive collected my prescription for 38 pills a day. 0-38...shock to the system. to this day in 15 month ive had 2 months of remmision..safe to say my apprenticeship is down th drain! i feel my treatment by th nhs has been a complete joke as i have just finished a course of 60mg prednisone....come on 60 miligrams a day?? it takes me months to get seen. infact i went into the doctors yeasterday and they never even examined my abdomen....prescription for buscopan and out the door? JOKE!!!!! anyway guys... in 2012 i will be taking on the challenge of my life, and ive done some crazy things!! me and my brother will be climbing kilimanjaro for all of us, for research into crohns, treatment of crohns ect.. i need big time help guys. if anyone wuld like to help me no matter how big or small reach my target i would be so grateful. anyway guys, hope use all feel better and your treatments work :ycool:
